TIME Magazine names the Top 25 Horror Movies, leading up to Halloween.
One of the films is actually a docudrama about Japanese torture and "medical experiments" performed on war prisoners, called Men Behind the Sun.

I thought some of the choices were pretty poor. Bambi may have a very shocking moment, but it's no horror film. If you're only going to include one Tod Browning film, then it has to be Dracula. That film and Frankenstein are the most imitated and referenced horror films in history. If your trying to be novel, then include something like Edison's Frankenstein, the Spanish version of Dracula, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari or The Wicker Man. Rue Morgue did a much better list a year or so ago.
