"A Kanji Website for Foreigners"

Kanji Fandom is a conversion tool for "foreigners" (read: anglophiles). Type in your name and the site spits back a list of possible kanji configurations.

I entered "Poseur McDouchey" but apparently, some names are simply un-translatable (and in those situations they ask for an email address so someone can custom transliterate it for you).

Thanks for sharing that link. I know how I'll be wasting a few hours this weekend.

I actually paid to have my last name translated into kanji a couple of years ago so I could get a signature stamp. (Yes, I'm that much of a manga geek.) I remember the translator wanted to know if my last name had a meaning so he could try to incorporate that meaning in the translation. Sizemore means 'dwellers on the Saxon wastelands'. I opted for the phoentic conversion instead.
